In this post I will explore with you the same feature in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012. One of the new concepts which are introduced in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 is Policies, this concept get Internal Control get more engaged with Microsoft Dynamics AX, and their role should be involved from the early beginning of the implementation.
Automatic creation of the Purchase Order is considered a policy, has start and expiration date, could add specific conditions, and price tolerance.
Go to Procurement and Sourcing->Setup->Policies->Purchasing Policies
In the organization hierarchy select Company
In Policy Rules, select Purchase Order Creation and Demand Consolidation
Identify required parameters, and press OK.
